Cymbidium

Cymbidium finlaysonianum, easy to care. Potting medium charcoal, water them once a day during summer or 2-3 time a week during cold season and rainy season. I bought them last February 2017 from Laguna.

This is my favorite orchid, Cymbidium atropurpurem. It gave me many flowers.

Have you tried investing in UITF?

I have joined or started in UITF last January 2017, we invested in Metrobank for conservative and aggressive type of investment. UITF or Unit Investment Trust Fund is a pool of investments funded by investors. By September we withdrew the conservative (Metro Money Market Fund) first because we need it and it gained 9.84% only for 9 months, not bad at all compare to regular savings bank account. By October we withdrew the aggressive (Metro PSEi Tracker Fund) with 19.82% gain for 10 months. This is much higher compare to the conservative. You may check www.uitf.com.ph for ROI (return of investment) for each type of investment of the member banks. Well the higher the gain, the higher the possibility of loss.
We started again this January 2018 in Metrobank and Security Bank with lower amount for a longer period of time. And trying to add if we have extra money. As of this writing, our investments are negative. It is the right time to invest or buy units if the navpu (net asset value per unit) is lower or if the stock market is down.
How to invest? You may start investing with only P5,000.00 minimum for Metrobank and P10,000.00 minimum with the other banks. They may require you to open a regular savings account, proof of billing and of course two valid IDs. You may enroll your account online so that you can monitor and you can subscribe/withdraw your funds easier.
There are types of UITF investments to choose from conservative, moderately conservative, moderately aggressive and aggressive.
1. Conservative are those money market fund and time deposits that is good for short term period like 6 months.
2. Moderately conservative are government bonds and corporate bonds for at least 1 year term.
3. Moderately aggressive are the balanced fund for 1-3 years term.
4. Aggressive are the stocks or equity good for 1-3 years term.
For more details and information, you can check www.uitf.com.ph. Go search and read before you invest. Don't put all your eggs in one basket it's better to put them in different investments. Good luck and happy investing.

Dendrobium uniflorum orchid

Dendrobium uniflorum, it is native to Southeast Asia.  I have attached it to driftwood, watering twice a day in the morning and afternoon during summer season. But for cold season I watered it every other day, and one to two times a week during rainy season. It has mild sweet scent. I positioned it in morning sunlight from 7am-12nn. Bought it last year of summer from Laguna with few thin pseudobulbs but now they multiplied already but gave me few flowers only.

Visita Iglesia March 28, 2018 - Cavite

We had our Visita Iglesia yesterday from 6:45am departed from the house to 12 noon, our last stop is Jollibee.
Our itinerary were Dasmarinas - General Trias - Rosario - Noveleta - Kawit - Imus - Bacoor. The maps was created from the mobile app maps.me, an offline map that is very helpful to me.

First church - Immaculate Concepcion Parish Church - Don Placido Campos Avenue, Dasmarinas, Cavite. The church was under construction so we just took a picture from the outside.

Second church - Saint Francis of Assisi Parish - Governor Ferrer, Sampalucan, General Trias. The church was built year 1769.

Third church - The Most Holy Rosary Parish - Marseilla, Cavite

Fourth church - Holy Cross Parish Church - Brgy. Poblacion, Gen Antonio, Noveleta, Cavite

Fifth church - Saint Mary Magdalene Parish Church - Tanggulan St., Kawit, Cavite

Sixth church - Imus Cathedral (Our Lady of the Pilar Cathedral Parish Church - General Castaneda St, Imus, Cavite

And finally the last church - Sto. Nino De Molino Parish - Bacoor, Cavite.
You may stack in traffic but nothing to worry visiting churches during Lenten season because many barangay personnel and some policemen are on the sites guarding the visitors. You may use my itinerary for your next Visita Iglesia.
